Pop Culture Character Creation: Twilight Saga

Welcome weary traveler! Our next installation of Pop Culture Character Creations (PCCC) is inspired by the recent announcement of a Twilight Saga television show (you can read about the announcement by clicking this LINK). Specifically, in this PCCC we'll be focusing on the ruthless and cunning vampires, James and Victoria, and how their traits and abilities can be adapted into formidable foes for your players to face. Whether you're a Twilight fan or not, the rich world of pop culture offers a wealth of inspiration for creating memorable monsters and encounters in your tabletop RPGs. So let's dive in and explore how these iconic villains can be reimagined in a Dungeons and Dragons setting!

James, the Tracker:

James is a vampire tracker who possesses incredible speed, strength, and senses. He is ruthless and enjoys hunting humans for sport, relishing in the thrill of the chase.

Stats:

  • Challenge Rating: 7

  • Hit Points: 136 (16d8 + 48)

  • Armor Class: 17

  • Speed: 50 ft.

    Abilities:

    • STR 20 (+5)

    • DEX 24 (+7)

    • CON 16 (+3)

    • INT 10 (+0)

    • WIS 14 (+2)

    • CHA 12 (+1)

  • Skills: Athletics +10, Perception +6, Stealth +12

  • Features:

    • Multiattack: James can make two attacks with his claws or one bite attack and one claw attack.

    • Supernatural Speed: James can take two additional actions on each of his turns.

    • Scent Tracking: James can track creatures by scent with advantage on Survival checks.

    • Immunities: James is immune to poison damage and the charmed condition.

Victoria, the Vengeful:

Victoria is a vampire who seeks revenge against Bella Swan for the death of her mate, James. She is cunning and manipulative, using her powers of illusion and charm to deceive and lure her victims into her grasp.

Stats:

  • Challenge Rating: 8

  • Hit Points: 180 (19d10 + 76)

  • Armor Class: 18

  • Speed: 40 ft.

  • Abilities:

    • STR 16 (+3)

    • DEX 20 (+5)

    • CON 18 (+4)

    • INT 14 (+2)

    • WIS 16 (+3)

    • CHA 20 (+5)

  • Skills: Deception +11, Insight +8, Perception +8, Stealth +9

  • Features:

    • Multiattack: Victoria can make two attacks with her claws or one bite attack and one claw attack.

    • Illusory Appearance: Victoria can use an action to create an illusory duplicate of herself, making it difficult to determine her true location.

    • Charm: Victoria can charm a humanoid within 30 feet of her with a successful Charisma check. The charmed creature will obey her commands for 24 hours.

    • Regeneration: At the start of each of her turns, Victoria regains 10 hit points if she has at least 1 hit point remaining.

    • Immunities: Victoria is immune to poison damage and the charmed condition.
